The Vickie Sheer Dance Grant is intended to help dance families experiencing economic hardship in an effort to encourage the dedicated student(s) to continue their dance experience. Sheer Elite International may grant those families their competition and/or convention fees either at a reduced rate or in full. The program will have a limitation of benefits per event and be granted on a first come first serve basis to studios that sign into early registration. Grant application must be received 60 days prior the event.

How to receive the Grant

The Grant is funded by the net proceeds from the Photo/Video family packages at $35.00 per family.  Your studio should have at least 90% of the competing families to qualify for the $35.00 package.
The dance school will sign into their Sheer Elite registration account and register with an estimated number of routines your studio will be bringing to the event. (This has no bearing on the funding decision. It just lets us know that you will be competing in a 2026 location and to hold your spot.) Fill out a short form below requesting help for students in your dance school. We do not want the names of the students or their family information. We feel that the dance school knows their community enough to determine who can use some help. You will be sent an email with the amount of the grant awarded or that the event has reached its limit for funding. All correspondences will be sent to: [email protected].
If you receive a grant, the award will be posted to the studio account in the discount column as a grant. Please inform your student recipient that they received the grant. As I mentioned earlier, we do not want the name of the student or their families. The grant will be issued as “credits” and not as “cash” and not issued to studios that will not be competing in the 2026 season. The grant is non-refundable and has no “cash” value. Vickie Sheer believed that every dancer should be able to perform on the Sheer stage for their love of the art.
