Sheer Elite 2021 Tour Event Plan
Although the coming months are uncertain, we are planning a full 2021 season with all of you! At Sheer Elite International, we look forward to seeing you all again and sharing in our love of dance. We are committed to bringing our fun and educational competitions and conventions to the cities that we so love, all while keeping the health and safety of our dancers, parents, teachers and staff in mind.
Throughout the 2021 “Return to Dance” Tour, we will be following all CDC, state and local guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to monitor all state and federal restrictions on event gatherings. We will work closely with each and every venue to ensure the safest environment for all.
Our biggest hope is that we can return to normal with our events, the way we love, with everyone getting to cheer each other on and witness incredible creativity, artistry and teamwork on the dance floor. However, should this not be possible with the current world situation, we are prepared to run our events the safest way possible while following the each state's guidelines.
The following procedures MAY be in place for our 2021 events:
If Needed by State Restrictions:
Each studio will receive a time slot for all of their competition entries to perform on stage. Each studio will be provided their own dressing room that has been cleaned and sanitized before use.
Live Audience:
Audience attendance may be limited or restricted. Regardless, our competitions will all be live-streamed to allow families to watch. We encourage social distancing and that audience members stay in the audience and not enter and exit frequently.
Refunds:
If an event is cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, our 2020 refund policy will remain - all studios who request a refund will receive 100% of their money back.
Awards:
Adjudicated awards will be given out at the end of each studio’s performances. All overall awards will be presented via live stream at the end of the competition day(s). Each studio will need to send a representative to pick up the trophies at the scheduled time of awards completion.
Convention Classes:
We will hold convention classes whenever possible and do so safely. If convention classes are not able to be held due to COVID-19, we will offer competition only.
Venue Cancellations:
If a venue that we have booked cancels on us, we will first try to find a replacement venue. Our next option is to reschedule for a later date. Lastly, if we are unable to secure a venue, we will have to cancel the event in that city. (In this case, the refund policy will still stand)
City Specifications:
Specific safety protocols will be released for each city as time gets closer and all guidelines are in place.
Photo & Video:
Our tablets to view images and photos, may be removed. We are offering our “All In” package for $35 per family. This package includes all photos and videos from your studio. Every family from the studio will need to participate for the media to be released.
Merchandise:
We will only accept credit card payments and will not allow any of the items to be tried on before being purchased.
Feeling Sick?
As always, if a dancer, teacher or family member is feeling ill, we ask that you do not attend our event in respect of the other attendees and their health and well-being.
Virtual Entries:
If certain dancers or parents are uneasy about attending our event in person, we will accept virtual entries to compete within the competition lineup.
